don’t come!!! I never leave review but this is such a terrible experience. I scheduled an appointment 15min after they open, but when I arrived they were not open yet. So another poor customer and I had to wait in the cold wind for the door open. And there’s only one waxer when they open, so I had to wait for 1 hour. My appointment was pushed an hour late with no apologies and notice. The worst thing is the waxer is a very new beginner, she doesn’t know how to do the waxing properly. I have been doing the bikini line for several years, I can tell it’s not right, it should not be such painful. I gave up on the first stripe, it’s pulling my skin off. I left with bleeding.
This review is for the admin rather than the service. I get my waxing done from Adriana and she's fantastic! Five starts for her 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟My appointment was moved without informing me - I found out upon arriving, which is not a great start. My waxing session was for 60 minutes but after 50 minutes, the front desk girl started pressing my waxer to wind up which is highly unprofessional and adds pressure on to the customer.My advice - do not pressure your customers because they paid for a service that requires 60 minutes. Secondly, call the customer to let them know their appointment was moved due to x reason.
I was five minutes late to my appointment but nevertheless needed the service and got what I needed. I had the pleasure of working with Pinky for my wax. I was done in and out with no lines or hassle. I would highly recommend it especially since we need location is next to a lot of shops nearby perfect for running errands or on the go.
I never leave reviews but, I visited this location on 7/24 and this was my second time here. First time was in May and I received a good service so I was decided to visit again for two different services. Keep in mind I live an hour away. I’ve been visiting the Upper East Side Uni k location for almost 4 years now with no issues just for this to be the absolute worst experience I’ve ever received. First it started after I booked my appointment. I received a confirmation text and then a additional text that said “ Hi, [removed my name] regarding your appointment today ,she has an appointment right after yo so be on time !!!”from the typo, aggressiveness, and exclamation points I was immediately turned off and didn’t even reply. My first visit in May was with Adrianna and she was good so I booked with her again. I got there, received my service— had to ask her to clean up the areas a few, paid and then left. The same day, I started experiences a burning sensation in the areas I was waxed and at first I thought it could’ve just been because it had been a little longer than my last wax [which lasted me 6 weeks] . I had to fly out for work the next day and couldn’t visit the location until the end of the week. By the next day, both areas had broke out in a painful rash to the point I couldn’t even use deodorant or have anything touch my lower area because it was so irritated. Even when I shower, those areas burn. The hair grew back right away and looked like it’s been 2-3weeks of growth already. Once I landed back in NYC I contacted Uni K and notified the person who picked up of what happened. She apologized and took down all my information and details of my experience and notified me that a manager will reach out to me. A day or two later, the same receptionist called me back and let me know that the manager said they don’t get complaints like this so it’s nothing they would do. I reiterated again that this is happening solely on the areas I got waxed and the rash is still prevalent in those areas and all she said was to keep the area moisturized and try visiting the dermatologist. Like what? I just told you I can’t even use deodorant why would I add products to the area to further irritate it. I’m someone who doesn’t even get something as little as face pimple let alone an extensive rash that’s effecting my sensitive areas. Receptionist again just told me what the manager told her and that they would apply some sort of discount for my next visit. Next visit ? I will never visit this location again solely based on the lack of great customer service I received. It’s been almost two weeks since the service and I’m now still left with this irritating rash and praying that there is no scarring after it goes down. Please save your time, money, and avoiding the possibility of injury because if something goes left they will NOT care.
